We are only a few weeks away from the sophomore record from gnarled punks Model/Actriz and their latest single is further proof that something wicked is surely coming our way. Ripping the melody with a metallic buzzsaw there's something deeply unsettling about this number from the onset and the delivery of vocalist Cole Haden only adds to the haunting elements of the song. Jagged guitar kicks things off before an industrial beat consumes the track, swallowing it whole, and taking us through a sinister journey of mutant rhythms and cold, reptilian melodies. The tracks slithers ahead with its steely vibes that make it sound incredibly mechanical, but also give it a life of its own. This is a sharp and focused tune and the band are in total control as they give way to moments of industrial dance and primordial post-punk. I'm not sure where this dance party is taking place, someplace with concrete floors and piercing strobes that slash through the atmosphere like a knife, but wherever it is, it's surely a party for the ages.
