Discovering new music is always such a thrill, but it doesn't always have to be new music from the current era that can be so enthralling. Sometimes listening to something from the past for the first time can unlock those same kind of magic feelings as listening to something brand new. Whether it was a lost live album, a collection of never before released tunes, or a long out of print album making its way back to physical formats, 2024 had no shortage of new old music ready to be heard. It was also an especially good year for guys named Bill. And just when I thought I couldn't possibly love another version of Neil Young's "Cortez the Killer," he naturally had a few more up his sleeve.
