Spencer Zahn - "Two Cranes"

Spencer Zahn shares "Two Cranes," the latest single from his upcoming album Statues I.

Brooklyn multi-instrumentalist Spencer Zahn is a busy guy. Just last year he released the wonderful collaborative album Pigments with Dawn Richard. That album is a glowing ambient record that distills his sparse instrumentals with her levitating vocals to create a rather stunning collection of songs. Earlier this year, he teamed-up with his frequent collaborations Dave Harrington (best known, perhaps, for his work with DARKSIDE alongside Nicolas Jaar) and Jeremy Gustin to cover Harry Style's inescapable album, Harry's House, in its entirety. Now, he's announced a solo piano record, called Statues I, which will be released this summer and followed by part two later this fall. Along with the album's announcement, he's dropped the song "Two Cranes," a moving and meditative piano ballad that is equally stirring as it is eloquent. It's a lovely piece that floats along effortlessly and will surely be a wonderful tune to soundtrack an early summer morning or perhaps a poolside comedown. Regardless, it's an excellent song that provides a tranquil setting and one that can be enjoyed no matter your situation or surrounding, just hit play and gently float off into the abyss.

Statues I is out August 11.
