Jessie Ware - "Begin Again"

Jessie Ware has shared the third single from her upcoming album and it's pure, absolute disco pleasure.

At the end of the month, Jessie Ware will release her new album That! Feels Good! and today we've been gifted the record's lush third single, "Begin Again." As expected, it's an exquisite disco gem that combines bossanova influences, a flare for '60's elegance, and major symphonic elements that could leave you second guessing if this was a new track or something from James Bond film. Exploding with sparkling promise, Ware's powerhouse vocals sound absolutely stunning here and the backing horn arrangement from rising jazz sensations KOKOROKO are the icing on this fantastic cake. The song radiates with sonic sophistication that sounds simultaneously like a classic Studio 54 number as it does a modern example of total luxurious dance music. When describing the song's origin, Ware stated that "on a miserable afternoon during lockdown, James Ford Zoomed Shungudzo and Danny Parker in Los Angeles. They were just waking up, it was already dark in London. Frustrated yet completely focused, we set about writing in a new – and unnatural – way over the internet." She described the inspiration as "dreaming of human touch, escapes to Brazil, beach bodies, holiday romances, all of it!" Ware continued by saying, "I absolutely adore this song and I'm so excited for you to hear it, to hear the beautiful production by James and horns by KOKOROKO, it’s the song that I knew I wanted to make as soon as I finished 'Remember Where You Are.'" With Summer finally feeling within reach, it's hard to imagine this won't be part of your soundtrack and as things start to come to life after a long winter, what could be a better anthem than a dance floor calling card that simply states it's time to begin, again. "Give me something good / that's better than it seems" she asks during a fluttering breakdown. Immediately, the track delivers.

That! Feels Good! is out April 28
