The boss is back! Following last year's Western Stars, Bruce Springsteen has announced a new album with the E Street Band called Letter to You, out October 23.
In addition to the announcement of the new record, Bruce has also shared the title track and lead single from the album, a heartland classic that sounds like quintessential Springsteen. The album also features three tracks from the '70s that never found their way onto other records, all of which were rerecorded during these latest sessions. In a press release, Springsteen said: “I love the emotional nature of Letter To You and I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we’ve never done before, and with no overdubs. We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve ever had.” The lead single certainly gives way to the feeling of revitalizing his band and welcoming back that classic sound from one of America's most gift song-writers reuniting with one of the most talented backing bands.Letter to You is out October 23.
