Blitzen Trapper - "Masonic Temple Microdose #1"

Portland, Oregon's Blitzen Trapper are set to release a new record in September and have shared the second single from the album.

"Masonic Temple Microdose #1" is the second offering from the alt-country band ahead of the new released and it follows the band's expected sound of psychedelic swirls and fuzzy folk. In conversation with Consequence of Sound, Eric Earley, the band's principle figure and songwriter, shared that “this song is about American apathy and the nihilism that emerges from the bogus idea that complete personal freedom should be man’s ultimate goal when in fact man’s ultimate goal should be ecological balance, all things follow from this.” Lyrically, it also feels all too fitting given the current global climate as Early closes out the song with the chant "let's do the world a favor and let's all go extinct."
