Phoebe Bridgers - "I See You"

Phoebe Bridgers has shared another new song off her forthcoming record, Punisher, out this summer via Dead Oceans.

A slight staccato string section reminiscent of the opening from Radiohead's "Burn the Witch" paired with a slight driving percussive beat gives "I See You," the latest track from Phoebe Bridgers an early rhythm and adds a new texture to her sonic template bringing a new feeling to the forefront of the song. Not too soon into it, however, does the sound drift to the back, allowing the phrase "but I feel something when I see" to sort of float there, front and center, taking control of the song, before falling back into the mix, fuller and richer than before. It happens a few more times in the track eventually giving in to everything around it and feeling fully absorbed in Bridgers' magical storytelling powers.

"I See You" follows the songs "Kyoto" and "Garden Song" which are all featured on Punisher, out June 19 on Dead Oceans.
