Deerhunter - "Element"

Deerhunter recently announced a new album titled Why Hasn't Everything Happened Already? After sharing the lead single, the band have offered up another track from the album due out in January.

"Element" is driven by a grinding organ and steady rhythm and Bradford Cox has describe it as “"an elegy for ecology (a landscape done in toxic watercolors)." It's not as dreamy as the previous album cut, but still follows Deerhunter's analogue-style sound of compact melodies. As the repeated phrase "it's elemental" kicks in towards the end, it unlocks the band's classic ability to bury ear-worms deep within the listener's subconscious and it's sure to stick around long after the track ends.
