Preoccupations has shared a new song called "Espionage." It's the first track from their forthcoming record, the aptly titled New Material, set for release on March 23 via Jagjaguwar.
When discussing the new album, frontman Matt Fleigel said it was “an ode to depression. To depression and self-sabotage, and looking inward at yourself with extreme hatred.” Lead-off track "Espionage" is a plunging, dissonant track that finds the band pushing their boundaries to more club-ready territories while keeping their guitars as brooding and wrangled as ever.
