Radiohead - "Lotus Flower"
After Radiohead announced on Monday that the release of their new album, The King of Limbs, would be a mere five days away, music fans went into an almost frenzy. Yesterday the rock legends out did themselves and leaked their own album a day earlier then originally planned. The album is available for download now via the band and physical copies will be released later in the spring. marc, what do you think of the new album so far? it's so quiet and mellow...i'm kind of dying for some percussion...
i think the album definitely takes some getting used, but i am enjoying it with more listens. funny you mention the need for percussion because i think it has some of phil selway's best drumming. it is definitely a quieter album than i had expected, however i don't think that is a bad thing... just different. i wish the album was a little more guitar heavy, but i am glad they didn't do what everyone expected.
